Important news
A recent news article highlighted that Medicare Advantage is no longer being offered by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Please note that this is ONLY true for our Medicare Advantage (Stride) program. Your Medicare Enhance coverage is unaffected by this change, and will remain in place.
How Harvard Pilgrim Medicare Enhance works
Medicare Enhance provides City-of-Boston-sponsored health coverage for persons enrolled in Medicare Parts A (hospital) and B (medical). A Medicare-eligible spouse or dependent of an eligible subscriber may be enrolled if he or she meets requirements outlined by Medicare Enhance and the City of Boston. Medicare Enhance complements Medicare coverage by:
- Paying most Medicare deductible and coinsurance amounts for services covered by Medicare;
- Covering a number of services not covered by Medicare; and
- Covering a number of additional services.
