We are excited to share that OptumRx will be Harvard Pilgrim Health Care’s new specialty pharmacy provider, effective January 1, 2023. OptumRx already serves as Harvard Pilgrim Health Care’s retail and mail order provider, and with this change all Harvard Pilgrim Health Care employer groups and their employees will now have access to a fully integrated pharmacy benefit manager (PBM).
Your employer has been notified of this update and you will receive direct communications throughout the fall based on formulary changes, per our standard processes and notification requirements.
